We use your information to reply to enquiries and project briefs (legitimate interests), take steps to agree or deliver a contract with you (contract), send invoices and take payment through our client portal (contract and legal obligation), send our newsletter and marketing emails (consent), understand how the website is used and improve it (consent for non-essential cookies), keep our systems secure and prevent misuse (legitimate interests), meet tax, accounting and other legal duties (legal obligation), and consider job applications (legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps before entering a contract).

We only send you our newsletter or marketing emails if you have signed up or otherwise agreed. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@linford.io. We never sell your details to anyone.

We use essential cookies for site function and security (always set), analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site (with your consent), and marketing cookies for measuring and improving our ads (with your consent).

Who we share your information with

We only share your information where we need to, and only with people who are bound to protect it. This includes service providers who help us run our business (such as website hosting and design platforms like Webflow, email and newsletter tools, analytics, project management, accounting and payment providers), professional advisers (such as accountants and lawyers), regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where the law requires it, and a buyer or successor if our business is ever sold or restructured. We do not allow our providers to use your information for their own purposes.

International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for 12 months after our last contact, client and project records for 6 years after the project ends (for tax and legal reasons), newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, unsuccessful job applications for 6 months after the decision, and website analytics data for 4 years.

How we protect your information

We use sensible technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe, including access controls, encryption in transit and staff training. No system is completely secure, so if we ever have a breach that puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the ICO as the law requires.

You have the right to be informed about how we use your information, access a copy of the information we hold about you, have inaccurate information corrected, have your information erased in certain circumstances, restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances, object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests and to direct marketing at any time, receive your information in a portable format in certain circumstances, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
